The People’s Burn Foundation has launched a cutting-edge campufire safety training site, www.igot2kno.org.. Designed with students in mind, this site provides “training in a box” that campus and community fire officials can use, right now, to deliver training to all students.
Students can be directed to watch the video “To Hell and Back: College Fire Survival.” Before they watch it, however, they must take a pre-test, then watch the video and then complete a post-test to evaluate what they learned. There is also a wealth of information on the page that includes FAQs, FastFacts and much more. To help promote the program, campus and community fire officials can download several versions of posters and table tents to use across the campus. These are in PDF format and can easily be run off on a printer. If you should have any questions on the program you can contact Justin Phillips, director of education for the People’s Burn Foundation at (877) 814-2024 or Ed Comeau, Campus Firewatch publisher at 413-323-6002.
